Once you give the print, the printer detects that it's a CD/DVD print, and only then should you put the tray in the CD/DVD position upwards. A bit of a gotcha here, if you put the tray in the CD/DVD position before you give the print, then the printer will start flashing the ink and paper lights, which means that it expects the tray to be at the bottom position before you give the print. Once it's done, the printer sends out the cards. With this in till the arrow, you need to press this button. Once you're all set, give the print command. So the print settings, you need to be sure this is set to 'Best Photo', the Source is 'CD/DVD', the type is 'CD/DVD', and your size is 'A4'. On the printer side, after you've done those settings, you need to come to your printing application - here we have Photoshop, and we're using a template which I'll just add to the links. You need to push this a bit, to get these arrows lined up. That's it, then you can slip in this tray, like so. Just take this out and put this in at the upper position. The first thing to do here is, on your printer, this tray (the upper tray) will be set down to paper position, we need to shift it up to CD/DVD position. The L805 comes with a CD/DVD Tray to let you print CDs but if you want to print on ID cards, you need to get one of these aftermarket ID card trays from Ebay.
